the little moments

Personal Reflections

As I sit here, penning down these words, I'm transported back to the day the above poem was written. It was in the midst of the Covid pandemic, a time of heightened tensions and uncertainty. However, amidst the chaos, I received news about the loss of my Grandma. A one-of-a-kind angel in human form. For every good quality I can boost of,she is the source and was much more

Reflecting on our time together, I find solace in the memories, particularly the last two recounted in the poem. Despite their simplicity, they brought smiles and warmth, somehow helping me find peace amidst the pandemic and also in dealing with her loss. These moments, while not Instagram-worthy, hold a special place in my heart, as is true of most of the memories we hold dearest of the people special to us. They come down to the little moments and how much of it we savor.

Think about the memories that stand out most when you recall the people who have touched your life deeply or the memorable moments of our past. It's not necessarily the grand gestures or significant events, but rather the simple, intimate moments shared together. The laughter over a shared joke, the warmth of a comforting hug, the quiet conversations held late into the night - these are the moments that leave a lasting imprint on our hearts and minds.

So while we chase the grand moments of life, let's not forget to appreciate the smaller ones too. Live the experience of dining at a five-star restaurant but take a moment to savor each bite, to appreciate the flavors and textures, and to express gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy such a special meal with loved ones. Similarly, attending your favorite concerts can be an exhilarating experience, but don't forget to pause and soak in the atmosphere. Take a moment to close your eyes and let the music wash over you, to feel the energy of the crowd and the thrill of being surrounded by like-minded fans. These fleeting moments of connection and joy are what make live music so magical.

What about those long-awaited road trips, where the journey is just as important as the destination? As you cruise down the open highway, take a moment to roll down the windows and feel the wind in your hair. Look out at the passing scenery and appreciate the beauty of the world around you. It's in these quiet moments of reflection and awe that we truly come alive, fully present in the beauty of the moment.

Take the challenge and climb the highest mountains but take a moment to catch your breath and soak in the view spread out before you. Feel the sense of accomplishment and awe as you gaze upon the world from a new perspective, knowing that you've conquered the mountain and embraced the beauty of the journey.

Go on luxury cruises and romantic trips but remember to hold hands. Take beautiful pictures but don’t remember the moments in pixels. Live fully in the present and enjoy the beauty of the present and little moments, letting them stand tall in the galleries of our hearts.

This is so sweet and heartwarmingđŸ„° And I love the cadence wirh which the poem is being read. It's also a perfectly relatable feeling too. Whenever a phase, a time, an experience is over, it's the memories that are left to engulf us and it's these memories that help our relationships with loved ones transcend time and space.
